Manchester United will take care of 17-year-old Brazilian midfielder Rafael Leao for the rest of the season. The Red Devil’s youth coaching staff will decide on the future of Leao in late June, when they have the opportunity to sign the teenager on a permanent basis from the club’s South American feeder club, Desportivo Brasil…

Rafael Leoa will remain at the Carrington Training Centre until the 30th of June this year, where – based on his performances – the club will decide whether or not to sign the defensive central mid on a permanent contract. The loan signing comes as part of a partnership-deal that is in place with football development group, Traffic, who are in partnership with Desportivo Brasil and the Sao Paulo football academy – where Leoa has signed from.

Leoa was at Old Trafford, when Holland side FC Twente agreed a contract with United to further develop Brazilian stars of the future, last week. The 17-year-old played his first game for the United’s youth team on Thursday, as Paul McGuinness’ side overcame Sunderland U-18’s by 2-0, with goals coming from Tom Lawrence and Will Keane. Rafael Leoa will play only for United’s Reserves and other under underage sides. Good luck mate !

I hope this young story isnt true. we dont have money to just be throwin around. we have a budget of lets say at best 50 mil (very very generous) – with that we have to buy a top class keeper (20 mill) which leaves 30 mill – midfield is da problem – two signing needed – id imagine rodwell will be one. we wont have money for young. if another winger is coming it will be chamberlain for cheap.

The Daily Star effectively rehashes the Times back page story from Thursday in saying the Atletico Madrid keeper David de Gea is a top target for Manchester United.

50 million budget ? Over 100 million in transfer kitty has been for ages, fergie just moaning about how much players cost when it’s our fault if he wanted it kept low he should have sold ronaldo for 45 million. Young is quality an it’s a done deal , bring in snider he’s the man we need to sort our weak mid field.
