Sir Alex Ferguson has been linked with signing Juventus star Giorgio Chiellini. It is reported that The Red Devils have entered the race to sign Chiellini, a talented Italian centre back. Sir Alex is looking to mend his torn-apart defence, and Chiellini could be a smart soulution to the headache, but with a hefty price-tag and stiff competition.
New Manchester City boss, Roberto Mancini has also been linked with the defender, who’s fee could be as high as £12 Million. Chiellini’s agent, Davide Lippe spoke to ‘News of the World’ about the 25-year-old’s possible move away from Serie A to the Premier League.
“It will be difficult for such an important player to leave Juventus but we will see what happens in January,” he told the reporter.
