Rafael Returns For Chelsea Clash 10/04/2011
Rafael Da Silva will return from injury on Tuesday, as United host Chelsea at Old Trafford. The Reds have a 1-0 aggregate advantage heading into the Champions League Quarter-Final 2nd Leg, and with many players back from injury in recent games – the world’s biggest club are favourites to proceed in the competition… Rafael was injured in an off-the-ball collision with Chelsea’s Didier Drogba, forced to leave Stamford Bridge on 51 minutes, replaced by Luis Nani. United won the 1st Leg tie 1-0 thanks to a Wayne Rooney finish, but the job is only half done. However, with the likes of Rio Ferdinand, John O’Shea, Wes Brown, Oliveira Anderson, Antonio Valencia, Ji-Sung Park and Michael Owen returning recently, Sir Alex Ferguson is back to full strength. “Rafael should be okay for Tuesday.” the boss confirmed. “Wes Brown is back, Antonio Valencia is back, John O’Shea has been out with a hamstring injury – but he’s come back well. Players are coming back and that gives us a heck of a boost. Antonio Valencia is a marvellous footballer. I think we chose the right time to take him off (against Fulham), to keep him fresh for Chelsea. He’ll have an important role on Tuesday.” Download United Latest From The App Store ! CommentsAlex Sun, 10 Apr 2011 11:37:57 pm Well wot can I say. We will beat city without Rooney however Rooney is a great player and I love seeing him play and score for united but we can still be champions without him because when one world class player is injured/banned we can replace them with another world class player from our squad coz we are united and we are great Malay love Mon, 11 Apr 2011 12:16:55 am Great player, if he plays let’s hope he doesn’t get sent off!
