Manchester United goalkeeping legend Peter Schmeichel has urged the club to sign highly-promising German goalie, Manuel Neuer. The 25-year-old FC Schalke 04 stopper kept The Red Devils at bay, until Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney beat the 6ft 5in in the second half. But, he’s bound for Bayern Munich…

Former Danish keeper Schmeichel is known as one of the world’s greatest-ever footballers to play between the posts. In his 8 seasons at Old Trafford, he impressed the footie world with heroics for United. Having watched an outstanding performance from The Reds in the Champions League on Tuesday, Schmeichel also witnessed an equally great display from Schalke 04 goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Neuer, who is leaving Schalke at the end of the season, foiled Sir Alex Ferguson’s side for the best part of an hour – putting in a phenomenal shift in goal. Sir Alex hailed his showing as ‘one of the best performances against United, ever’ – but despite club scouts touting Neuer, he is believed to be heading for Bayern Munich. However, in another twist, officials from The Bavarian club have revealed no agreement has been reached as yet.
“He is probably the best goalkeeper in the world.” Schmeichel told Sky Sports News. “He is 25 years of age, he’s been captain for that team for a number of years and he’s very mature in the way he plays. He doesn’t make mistakes – I haven’t seen him make a single mistake – and the way he played yesterday, he wasn’t lucky in the way that he saved the shots and one-on-ones, it was very calculated.”

“I just thought his overall game was fantastic and absolutely well-suited for Manchester United…”

I’m sick of Peter Schmeichel’s comments he is becoming a complete twat.
I loved him so much at United, but since he left he has been nothing but a knob. Even to the point where he wanted his son to play for citeh which seemed a little spiteful.

Alright Yorkie? How are things pal?

I’ll be watching the final in the Bishop’s Blaize with Butty and Gary Neville. Jesper Blomqvist and Ole are flying in to watch the game with us. You should get down here and watch it with us. Have you got Coley’s number? Send him a text and see if he wants to come along too – and yeah, you can even invite that miserable knobhead Schmeichel too!

Have a great one, pal. 🙂
