Luis Nani Happy With Reply 28/08/2010
![]() United winger Luis Nani has said he is delighted with his ‘perfect response’ to his penalty miss last weekend at Craven Cottage. The 23-year-old Portuguese International scored a fantastic goal, and set-up another as The Reds’ put West Ham to bed at Old Trafford… Nani missed the chance to put United 3-1 up against Fulham last Sunday in the 88th minute, just moments later Brede Hangeland scored a crucial equalising header. But on Saturday, Nani made-up for his spot-kick nightmare as he scored a marvelous solo-effort. The winger also set-up Dimitar Berbatov for his scissor-kick goal. “We always enjoy ourselves when we’re scoring,” Nani told MUTV on Saturday. “We had a draw last week and we were focused on getting the win. We played some good stuff and we won, so we’re happy. We could have scored a couple more goals, but the result is good for us.” “I was so excited to score my goal. I’ve missed a few opportunities so I was really hungry to get my goal. I was really happy to score and I want to continue to get goals to help the team. I want to push on this season, and I’ve been really looking forward to it. That’s why I’m working so hard.” He added: “Chelsea and the other teams are doing well, so we need to keep up with them. We have to keep up with Chelsea. If they win, we have to win as well. We don’t want to lose any points, so that is why we are working hard to win every game.” CommentsRedScot Sat, 28 Aug 2010 11:15:49 pm Ignore the pen at Fulham it was never a spot kick in the first place. The ball comes flying at Damien Duff strikes his knee and rebounds of his outstretched arm for balance.Hardly deliberate!
