Javier Hernandez to Old Trafford !
Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez has finally secured a work permit – which means the ‘Hot Chic’ will be arriving at OT on July 1st. United agreed a transfer fee with Mexican club Chivas for Hernandez last month, however The Reds were required to apply for a permit as he has played in less than 75% of Mexico’s games. But today The FA finally said yes !

Chicharito had already passed a medical and a fee and personal terms were agreed with his club, Chivas de Guadalajara – the transfer fee was said to be in the region of £12 Million. Hernandez has, as a recent call-up to Mexico’s senior squad, played less than 75% of his country’s fixtures over the last two years.

The statistics meant that the Mexican would have to apply for a work permit – and to do that – United had to impress The FA. Sir Alex argued that the 21-year-old was an ‘exceptional talent’, and gladly The FA fell for it – although he really is an exceptional talent, an example: finding the net against Holland on Wednesday night, in Mexico’s 2-1 defeat to Holland in a World Cup warm-up game.

Hernandez will join the squad on July 1st, just in-time for The Red’s pre-season tour of America, Canada, Ireland and, of course, Mexico !
