Iker Casillas: ‘United Interest Flatters Me’ 28/06/2010
Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has said both Manchester United and City have expressed their interested in him. The Spaniard has admitted he remains happy at the Santiago Bernabeu, but can ‘never say never’. However, the 29-year-old may could be a very costly purchase – and there’s only one club in town who are prepared for that, and it’s not the Red half ! Casillas, on International duty with Spain at the World Cup, told The Daily Star: “I am aware of the interest of both Manchester United and City. I’m always flattered whenever another club shows interest in my qualities as a goalkeeper. I have been at Real Madrid all my career and I still enjoy going to training every day.” José Mourinho has already expressed that he wants to keep Casillas, which could prove a tough obstacle for both clubs, as United look into the market for a replacement for the outgoing Edwin Van Der Sar. “I enjoy meeting the fans too – but we all know how uncertain things are in football.” “I’m not going to say never. Right now Madrid would have to kick me out of the club before I consider a move. Who knows what will happen, though, if a big money offer comes in.” Comments Comments are closed. |
