EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Rio Ferdinand !
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: We continued with our string of discussions with Rio Ferdinand on Tuesday, as the 32-year-old Reds defender speaks about his mentor Sir Alex Ferguson. As well as that, Rio speaks to us about the future of Manchester United as a top footie club…

Ferdinand was snapped-up by Sir Alex in July of 2002 for £33 Million, signing on from Leeds United. Since then he has bagged 11 titles with United, including four Premier Leagues and his first Champions League. The England captain has achieved so much in his last 8 seasons, and will continue to do so under ‘the best manager in the World.’

Firstly, United Latest asked Rio how long Fergie will stay at the helm of Old Trafford. He told us: “For as long as he wants, I think he will go on forever !” he joked. “His dedication and enthusiasm for the game is still the same as it was when I joined the club.”

On who he thought would eventually replace the boss, he said: “That’s a difficult one to answer when you have the best manager in the World.”

Ferdinand deflected the question of who he would like to see brought to the club in the upcoming transfer windows, saying: “That’s for the manager to decide. We have some fantastic younger players coming out of the youth system, there are a few recent ones that have broken into the first team over the last couple of seasons.”

“Ben Amos, and also Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley,”
he highlights as emerging talents from The Reds’ youth system. “I am looking forward to when they (Welbeck & Cleverley) return from their loans spells. There is a batch of players not far behind them who you will see breaking into the first team over the coming seasons.

Fergie will stay another 4/5 years then Mourinho will take over, he’s the outstanding candidate and the only manager out there who can try and fill fergies shoes!!

The special one is a great man manager but has notbeen anywhere long enough to prove he can rebuild a team in the way Fergie has. If Fergie lasts 5 more years then maybe he will have a better record but I’m not do sure and though not proven with a big team yet someone like Keane has shown he can build a team on a budget as Sunderland and Ipswich have both made in roads under his stewardship
Possible Jose will be at City before then anyway
