The FA Cup 5th Round
Manchester United have drawn non-league side Crawley Town, at Old Trafford, in The FA Cup 5th Round. The Red Devils staggered through to the next round of the cup, as late goals over-turned a Southampton lead. Meanwhile, Crawley – also nicknamed The Red Devils – managed to beat Torquay United to make history…

Second half goals from Michael Owen and Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez ensured United progressed to the Fifth Round of The FA Cup, after Richard Chaplow had fired Southampton into the lead shortly before half-time at St. Mary’s Stadium. The Reds have already beaten Liverpool in The FA Cup, a competition which Sir Alex’s men have won a record 11 times, looking to claim the title once more this season.

Crawley Town, meanwhile, have seen-off Swindown Town, Derby County and Torquay United in the competition and have been rewarded for their efforts by securing a tie against the world’s biggest football club at The Theatre Of Dreams. The game, which will take place on either the 19th or 20th of February (date yet to be confirmed), will be viewed with intense interest worldwide, with Crawley becoming the first non-league side in the fifth round in 17 years.

Matthew Tubbs was the hero for ‘The Red Devils’ on Saturday, as they beat Torquay 1-0 despite missing two second half penalties and having defensive midfielder Dean Howell sent-off. They’ll be hoping for a miracle of the same magnitude come late February…

Bebe, Gibson, Oberton, Neville, Smalling, Fabio, Evans, Owen and Hernandez will all get a run out. It may also be the last time you see Gary Neville play in a United shirt

Crawley could take us by surprise and we could end up going to their place in a replay. Remember Exeter in 2005! I think United will get the job done and win 2-0, Hernandez and Owen to score
