Berba Fit For Sunday’s Emirates Trip 29/04/2011
Dimitar Berbatov is available for Sunday’s match with Arsenal at The Emirates. The 30-year-old striker has started only two of United’s last ten games, coming off the bench on three occasions. A groin strain kept Berba out of the squad in the last two games, but the club’s top goalscorer could feature against The Gunners… The Bulgarian has scored 22 goals in 38 appearances for The Red Devils this season, netting 21 of those in the Premier League, where he is top scorer. Berbatov had been on his way to reaching Sir Alex Ferguson’s target of 25 goals for the forward, but he has lost his place on the starting XI to Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez. This has prompted speculation of a summer move away from Old Trafford, with Berba managing just two goals in his last ten games. “Dimitar Berbatov is fit again, he’s trained all week.” Sir Alex told the press on Friday morning. “He had a slight groin strain and missed the last two games but he’s available.” Meanwhile, Darren Fletcher – who played in the Reserve game on Thursday against Arsenal – is closer to fitness. “Fletcher played 45 minutes, as you know, and he’s come through it fine. I could possibly include him on Wednesday (against Schalke 04) and get 45 minutes out of him. He’s put the weight back on and working hard in the gymnasium. It’s a great addition to the squad at this time of year having missed him for a couple of months.” Download United Latest From The App Store ! Them 2 are on fire at the mo. And I think we need to get a certain 3 points on Sunday as I think Chelsea will give us a run at old Trafford. Draw that game then near almost certain of a 19th league title. Lovely jubbly. There’s no reason to think we won’t do that. I think people are too pessemistic. Let’s remember who is sitting 6 points clear on top of the league and heading to the European Cup Final. We are simply better than Arsenal and Chelsea and have no reason to worry about dropping points against them. Fred Fri, 29 Apr 2011 4:42:07 pm *Pessimistic, I should say. 😉 Redboy Fri, 29 Apr 2011 5:04:51 pm U can only b gud as ur last performance! Arsenal are very shakey and Chelsea and spurs have lot to fight for loss for spurs and season over same as Chelsea…..
