Adel Taarabt to Manchester United ?
Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt – previously scouted by United Latest – has claimed he is prepared to join United this summer. The 21-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur youngster has told the press that The Red Devils are ready to signing him at the end of the season, having opened talks with the Moroccan International…

“Nothing is official yet,” Taarabt told The People Newspaper. “I had discussions about my transfer after my performance against Coventry City (on the Sunday the 23rd of January) . I’m ready to go to Manchester United. We’ll see later in the season, as I’m hoping to reach the promotion target with my current club Queens Park Rangers. I like England, so I am not against the idea of continuing my career at United.”

You might remember QPR’s Taarabt from our January Scouting Reports feature, sent-in to us by our readers…

The 21-year-old Moroccan International is turning heads this season in the Championship, with a goal scoring record that any midfielder would be proud of, he has scored 13 goals in 27 appearances. Taarabt is a player who is capable of dominating games and playing with flair and enthusiasm, he possess great vision and is able to pull out a 50 yarded searching pass within a blink of an eye.

One attribute that has held him back is his temperament, he occasionally sulks when decisions on the pitch do not go his way. He seemed to be one of those players who has the raw talent and flair but one of those unlucky players where their temperament gets the better of them, eventually holding their footballing career back. But in this current season his attitude has changed, and this could be down to the added responsibility of becoming Captain at Loftus Road.

Taarabt is relatively unknown to many people, but he deserves a mention for his incredible form and talent, a player fans would love to see arrive at Old Trafford. Neil Warnock has done wonders with this young, talented player and Sir Alex Ferguson and United’s coaching staff could get the utmost best out of him. He is a brilliant midfielder, and one that will go on to become a star in the future…

This guy looks great but the premier league every week is just a bit different than the championship but I agree with United Latest write up and is an exciting prospect . Anyone know why Spurs let him go?

He’s got loads of confidence, and that takes you a long way. Great technical ability, but a bit immature tactically. Not impressed by his vision or passing, as the weight and angle of his passes seem to need some work. Not Manchester United material in my opinion. There are plenty of players like this all around Europe.

So, how much do you think he’s gonna cost United? 6mil?

He’s still young, 21yo. With his temperament, he could be another Keano.
Maybe he can replace Anderson.

I’ll be honest I like Carroll as a player but that’s very overpriced. 35 mil wud get u someone like Thomas muller during the summer. As for tarabt I watched that game against Coventry and he was quality but I’d still be wary that Harry let him go from spurs. Never mind Rodwell he is not wat we need at all, no creativity at all. I’d bring back cleverly for the rest of the season

dan

Mon, 31 Jan 2011 4:27:50 pm

watch for sky bet CHARILE ADAM IS NOW 1/2 TO SIGN FOR MAN UNITED THAT MEANS MAN UNITED ARE IN TALKS ; BUT IT COULD CHANGE AGAIN OR THERE TRYING TO WIN SOME MONEY BUY MAKING MAN UNITED LEADING THE RACE THEN HE ENDS UP AT LIVERPOOL AND THEY HAVE MADE SOME MONEY ; BUT 1/2 DOES MEAN THERE IN TALKS ACCORDING TO A TWITTER SOURCE

dan

Mon, 31 Jan 2011 4:45:03 pm

breaking news ; man united according to sky sports news there is something going on with charile ADAM . AND THERE NOW TRYING TO FIND OUT WEATHER IT IS TRUE ; WATCH THE SPACE AS UNITED LATEST SAYS WERE ARE YOU ANY TRUTH IN THIS STORY

Darren

Mon, 31 Jan 2011 4:54:50 pm

Charlie Adam and Taraabt? No thanks. You have to have a certain ‘class’ to play for United if you catch my drift.
Rodwell is okay by me.

Adam deal looks dead in the water ; source say united bid 8 million but has being turned down and now they could turn to RODWELL ; SOME SOURCE SAY OWEN COULD USED IN A SWAP BUT TRYING TO GET A GOOD SOURCE Deigo is going to Spurs he is on his way according to some source

Malkster

Mon, 31 Jan 2011 8:07:50 pm

Yet again looks like were not going to sign any top players let’s just hope it’s a different story in the summer as other clubs squads are catching up if not overtaking ours for strength in depth

dan

Mon, 31 Jan 2011 8:11:47 pm

it is a joke ; people are now willing to pay over the value and fergie still see no value in the market ; i think Glazers are cunts ; but can people come up other words for does greedy there probably spending are money going to the super ball the next weak even do there team are not in it they will go anyway

Mon, 31 Jan 2011 10:19:16 pm

Still extremely quite for United, the same can’t be said for others though. We’ll round-up all the today’s deals later, but for the moment we’re still keeping an eye out for any developments at OT, not matter how unlikely. Stay tuned…

wait till the summer after Qatar buy The Glazers out then Sir Alex will get the players he wants

Borba

Mon, 31 Jan 2011 11:35:07 pm

United are in first place so I don’t think Sir Alex pushed the emergency button to buy any one in this window but thats just my opinon But i really hope aleast in the summer we go out and get a Replacment for Scholes and Giggs on the left wing and i aslso hope that Qatar buy out the glazers in the summer also but who knows.

So, World Cup winner and top scorer David Villa, who also regularly played and scored in the Champions League cost £28million, and Liverpool just bought a player for £35million plus add ons for appearances, caps and sell on percentage, a player who has played 5 months in the Premiership, currently injured, has a bad attitude with a criminal record for battering women, has 1 international cap and this time last year had only scored 3 goals in the Coca Cola Championship…………….. No doubt about it, Liverpool have been well and truely mugged. 

Harry redknapp said taarabt was the the most naturally talented player at the club but he hardly got a sniff in the first team( no discipline, tactical awareness, workrate)it would be a massive gamble for fergie because it’s the playmaker role the hardest role in any team.the simple fact is there is noone in the current squad bar scholes/giggs of late who can do it.when the replacement arrives he will have to come into a new club paying with unfamiliar players and be the heartbeat of the team, that’s one hell of an ask at a club like ours

StevO

Tue, 01 Feb 2011 12:20:17 pm

For all this transfer deadline madness, I figured Liverfools screwed up big time on this one. No disrespects to Andy Caroll but when a club like Liverfool sells off their talismanic player Torres and brings in Caroll for an eye-popping 35mil pounds, that’s a sure sign of desperation! Sad.
