United Latest

In an exclusive report, ‘The Sun’ has revealed that United striker Dimitar Berbatov requires knee surgery to finally get rid of a niggling ligament problem. The injury has kept the 28-year-old (29 in January) Bulgarian international out of a handful of United’s recent games, and surgery is said to be ‘the only solution’.

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that injured duo Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans are close to returning to the first team squad. Ferdinand is recovering from a back injury, while Evans is making progress with a calf strain. Both are closing in on fitness, according to Sir Alex.
