United and England striker Wayne Rooney has cause quite a stir in recent days, with his so-called ‘rowdy behaviour’ on a posh golf course in South Africa. Injured England skipper Rio Ferdinand has insisted Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey is ‘not to blame’ after the 31-year-old United defender was ruled-out for South Africa 2010. Heskey collided with Rio in a training match last Friday, in what resulted in a freak injury to his left-knee ligaments.

 
 
Rio Ferdinand’s injury for England was bad enough for United, but now Luis Nani has been ruled-out of South Africa 2010 after suffering an injury to his collar bone. The 23-year-old Reds winger picked-up the injury last Friday, whilst training in Portugal, but tests have today deemed him unfit to take part in the World Cup.

According to today’s papers, Dimitar Berbatov is expected to join either AC Milan or Juventus for anything up to £20 Million – a loss of over £10M. Meanwhile, the transfer fee would be used to bring-in Wolfsburg superstar Edin Dzeko !

 
 
England skipper Rio Ferdinand has branded himself as ‘cursed’ after a freak incident lead to severe left-knee ligament damage. Ferdinand was ‘fit and ready’ for the challenge of South Africa 2010, but will now face up-to an agonising six weeks on the sidelines. Despite this, his agent remains confident Rio will put the captain’s armband back on in Brazil 2014 !

 
 
England have been dealt a major blow to their World Cup aspirations, with influential skipper Rio Ferdinand ruled-out for the entire tournament. As we reported earlier this morning, Rio suffered a knee injury in the later stages of their first training session in South Africa and has been ruled-out for up to six weeks with ligament damage…

Ferdinand has been sent for a scan, but early reports suggest he may be ruled-out of South Africa 2010. The Reds defender was finishing-up the session, when he was tackled. The extent of the injury is not yet known…

 
 
Accordion to today’s Daily Mirror, Everton playmaker Mikel Arteta is set to be snatched-up by Sir Alex. The 28-year-old midfielder is not making any progress in talks at Goodison Park, and a summer switch to Old Trafford is rumoured. Arteta, is very similar to Chelsea’s Joe Cole (another rumoured target) – but could settle for more than half the pay that Cole is demanding !

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez has finally secured a work permit – which means the ‘Hot Chic’ will be arriving at OT on July 1st. United agreed a transfer fee with Mexican club Chivas for Hernandez last month, however The Reds were required to apply for a permit as he has played in less than 75% of Mexico’s games. But today The FA finally said yes !
