Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has guided Molde FK to their first top-flight title in Norway, in his first season in charge. Solskjaer took over at the club in late 2010 as gaffer, and since then has transformed the club into Champions for the first time in their 100 year history. Ole Gunnar was spotted at Molde as a player back in 1996, having spent 5 seasons with Clausenengen FK. He joined United, and went on to score 126 goals in 366 appearances as a forward.
The 'Baby-Faced Assassin' played at Old Trafford for 11 seasons, winning 13 trophies in his glorious time with the world's largest club. In 2008 - following his 2007 retirement - he started to manage the United Reserves, winning 4 cups with them over 2 years, before taking a higher-level role at Molde. Now, after a year in charge, the 38-year-old has helped MFK to make history by winning the Tippeligaen for the very first time in the Norwegian club's history.
Current Red Devils striker Mame Diouf also hails from Molde, who have a history of producing top players. The club have still two games yet to play, but celebrations have already begun due to their 8-point advantage, with Rosenborg BK finishing in 2nd place. There have already been calls for Ole to return to the Premier League, this time as manager, with a large section of United supporters pondering the possibility that Solskjaer could become our boss !
