Red Devils Keen To Forget Derby Day Disaster 27/10/2011
Sir Alex Ferguson branded it as his 'worst ever day' in football, but now Manchester United are ready to move on from the catastrophic 6-1 loss to Manchester City. Last Sunday, it all fell apart at Old Trafford, allowing our rivals take a five point lead in the Barclays Premier League. But The Red Devils always bounce back... Man City fired six past United, with Jonny Evans sent-off and Darren Fletcher's goal turning out to be nothing but a consolation. But The Reds are now ready to put a rare Derby Day defeat behind them, and beat Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday. United are in second place in the Premier League, but are still clear favourites to regain their crown this season to stretch the record to 20 titles. Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal are all playing catch-up. Sir Alex said at the weekend: "It was a bad day, our worst ever day. But we’ll come back from that, that is the challenge. We will react. There is no question about that. It’s the perfect result for us to react to because there is a lot of embarrassment in the dressing room today and that will make an impact. I feel disappointed. It’s my worst defeat in history, even as a player, I don’t think I’ve ever lost a game 6-1, but that’s a challenge for me too." Ji-Sung Park, who played a part in United's 3-0 midweek win over Aldershot Town, echoed the boss: "We have to concentrate and everyone has to turn up to show the City game has not affected us. We have to get over that. We have to put it right on the pitch and we have to prove it. It’s a very important game to us and we have to go there and fight to get the points." United travel to Everton on Saturday, with the game kicking-off at 12pm. CommentsArfaan11 28/10/2011 7:18pm

I would change Park with Young and Berbatov with Hernandez. And if we are two goals in front, then always change Cleverly and Fletcher with Morrison and Pogba :D..... Comments are closed. |
