Javier Hernandez' agent Eduardo Hernandez was interviewed during the week about his client's future with Manchester United, and revealed that Chicharito has agreed a new 5-year contract at Old Trafford. It is estimated that the Mexican forward's pay has risen from £20,000 to a whopper £80,000 per week...
Chicharito took the Premier League by storm last season, scoring 20 goals in 45 appearances, the first player to reach that figure in their first season at The Theatre Of Dreams since Dutch ace Ruud Van Nistlerooy. United have rewarded their 'Little Pea' for his services, resigning him on a 5-year deal which will keep Hernandez with The Champions until the summer of 2016 at the least. It is believed his salary has increased by £60,000 per week.
Javier is now on 'a fixed salary with incentives based on the team's success in different tournaments', according to agent Mr. Hernandez. The club are yet to officially announce the new agreement, but senior sources at United have told respected journalists that Chicha has signed on the dotted line. With speculation in the newspapers that Real Madrid were knocking on the player's door, it was best for both parties that a long-term arrangement was struck.
"We have renegotiated Javier's contract and he is now committed for five years with United. The initial contract was good for Manchester and for Javier because it enabled them both to see if they could fit together and if he could achieve what was expected of him. Both sides have met their expectations and United were happy to reward Javier after his very good performances last season..." the 23-year-old's agent said before any official line from the club.
