Manchester United: 2011/2012 UEFA Champions League Squad
Manchester United have submitted their 2011/2012 Champions League squad list to UEFA, with little or no surprises other than the inclusion of some Reserves footballers. The likes of Ben Amos, Sam Johnstone, Sean McGinty, Matty James, Davide Petrucci and William Keane all made the grade in The Reds' roster...

Chris Smalling
Smalling made his senior bow for England
Federico Macheda and Mame Diouf may not be heading out on loan anytime soon, after the strike duo were called-up into the Champions League squad for the new season. Tomasz Kuszczak and Darron Gibson are also included, after potential moves fell through in the summer transfer window. The rest of the regulars are in the 34-man squad, with 10 young Reserve players forming part of 'List B', for team members older than 17 years of age, younger than 21.

On the International front, Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young, Chris Smalling, Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez, Luis Nani, Jonny Evans and Patrice Evra all featured for their respective countries, on Friday. Rooney and Chicharito scored, with Young assisting a goal and Smalling making his debut for the senior England squad. All these players - as expected - make up figures in the squad for the European Cup. More 'List B' players can be added at any time.

What does it mean by "More 'List B' players can be added at any time"? Does this mean players like Pogba and Morrison will have a chance to be included at any time.

'Player List B' is for players over 15 years of age with 2 years, or more, playing time with their respective club - hence they are 17. 21 is the age limit for players on this list. An infinite amount can be added to this list, and unlike the regular players, they can be added at any time except within the 24 hours before a match. UEFA must be notified of the changes.

Even with Scholes we couldn't get anywhere bear barca. Don't know why we are even bothering with the champions league this year. Our central midfield is so average, even by premier league standards

Timu where never gonna win with that attitude if where gonna stand some kind of chance of winning the champions league remember we won it not long ago back in 2008 and evrybody had no faith in man u but did in Barcelona and we proved them all wrong and now we can do it again this year if we show our support in them

Donnie: Will Keane is a striker who scored 3 goals in the FA Youth Cup Final, and also has an Old Trafford hat-trick to his name. No relation of Roy or Robbie, but his twin brother Michael is also at United.

Timu & Dave: Yeah, Anderson and Tom Cleverley sure have shown how average they are... deary me, give them a chance you dregs. Sneijder? What's he going to solve in centre midfield? And Nasri the Pansy? Do me a favour!

Just found out why Paul Pogba wasn't included on the B list.

He only received clearance to play for United in October 2009, which means he technically hasn't been at the club for 2 years. He will be allowed to included for any game after October 6th.

What Sneijder did yesterday?! It was against San Marino for god sake! A team who have only ever won one game! And that was against Liechtenstein, in a friendly 7 years ago! They have only ever scored 17 goals, the last coming almost 3 years ago! Their all-time goal difference is -335! Netherlands have scored 39 goals against them in 6 games!

Did you see what Cleverley and Ando did in their first 4 games this season?!

You' have the nerve to call other's muppets, when it's clear the only muppet is you!

Rafeal is injured, hence why he isn't playing at the mo. Fabio is back up to evra hence why he isnt playing. Just because his surname is keane, he has nothing to do with roy or robbie.

I think we should take time to reflect on how the team has grown and matured. Nani passes the ball well, he's scoring goals since he matured into a real team player. Anderson is gaining confidence and Cleverley is nowhere near average, just give him a few more games.

As for Barcelona, other teams are loading their guns against them. Watch AC Milan, Dortmund, Munich. These teams are loaded and waiting for Barcelona... We are worried about one team when we should be worried about the teams taking aim around us..
