Rafael Da Silva, Michael Carrick and Javier Hernandez are all sidelined for Sunday's FA Community Shield match against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium. The trio all sustained injuries while on tour and undertaking other commitments. However, Darren Fletcher and Antonio Valencia are back... Rafael suffered a problem in United's 2-1 win over Barcelona last weekend in Washington DC, while on tour in The US. Although not serious, he won't be risked. Michael Carrick sustained an Achilles injury while representing Edwin Van Der Sar's 'Dream Team' in his Testimonial match in Holland midweek. Meanwhile, Chicharito remains rested following a scare after he received mild concussion when he picked-up a knock to his head in training. Sir Alex Ferguson told the media in his pre-match press conference on Friday that Chicha "Is still two to three weeks away, but he should be back at the end of August." Reacting to reports from Mexico that Hernandez suffers from a neurological illness in his noggin' because of recurring concussion he had while at Chivas Guadalajara, the boss added: "Considering he had a concussion some years ago, we're playing it safe." Darren Fletcher and Antonio Valencia have returned to full first team training this week, after the pair were struck by illness and injury respectively. However, the 2011 Community Shield clash with Man City this weekend is likely to prove too early for both. The Red Devils are in search of a record 19th Community Shield win, with 14 won outright and 4 shared. United ran out 1-0 winners against City in the only previous meeting (1956) thanks to Dennis Viollet. CommentsTrue Red 05/08/2011 2:49pm
