Once Wesley Sneijder thumbs-up a wage package below £200,000 per week, United-Latest.Com understands that the 27-year-old midfielder will sign for Manchester United. Inter Milan have reputedly agreed to sell their Holland International to Sir Alex Ferguson for €40 (£35) Million... Italian giants Internazionale will sell Sneijder to United for €40 (£35) Million, it has been confirmed. The deal hinges on the player striking an understanding over his salary with club officials at Old Trafford, with Sneijder apparently hoping for a contract that equals his current €250,000 (£220,000) per week payment. Chief Executive David Gill will not go beyond the £200,000 mark, which would almost put Sneijder on the same earnings of Wayne Rooney. Inter Milan have sanctioned a meeting for next Tuesday to discuss Sneijder's future, which has already been decided as away from the San Siro by new boss Gian Piero Gasperini. Sources in both Manchester and Milan have confirmed that both sides have arranged a fee for the transfer of Sneijder to the Premier League Champions, with this appreciation falling short of an official offer, which could follow within a fortnight if all goes to plan. Wes Sneijder will first have to get his wage demands in order, with agent Soren Lerby holding out on astronomical figures. But the Dutch International - arguably the best midfielder in the world - is more concerned about football than money, or so his persona would lead you to believe. With Sir Alex and the crew heading to America for pre-season preparations on Monday, CEO David Gill may opt to stay behind and sort out Paul Scholes' replacement. If Wesley penned a 5-year contract with The Red Devils, his eventual total (plus transfer fee) could cost the already 'broke' Glazer Family close to a whopping £90 Million. A possible £35 Million signing in Sneijder would bring to almost £95 Million the money spent this summer transfer window by United - which to date tops £60 Million - the current highest in Europe. This has added fuel to Qatar takeover speculation, again... A trusted souce connected to The Reds told the press: "It will be a question of whether Wesley will accept a salary which puts him on the same level as Wayne." Sneijder's agent, Mr. Lerby, said: "(The speculation) is not so strange. However I still think for the big clubs it’s too early to act definitively. But what I can say now that Wes has a contract with Inter Milan until 2015 and currently there’s nothing concrete." Inter gaffer Gasperini had the most decisive say on the matter, quoted: "I try not to be worried about Welsey Sneijder. He is one of the best players in Europe, but I am convinced we can find a new player when he goes..." Tuesday, July 12th, is the date earmarked by the media when the 'Nerazzurri' decide on Sneijder's move to Manchester United, hopefully yet another transfer saga will reach it's conclusion shortly, as with Samir Nasri ! wish that this is true.make it quick! Nick 10/07/2011 5:31am
If this deal happens it would be a terrific signing for United. He s much better than Nasri and s worth spending nearly 40 million on him. But the transfer shouldnt happen if we were to sacrifice Nani for Wesley as widely reported in the media. That would be bitter sweet Top ITK football agent 10/07/2011 5:42am
It's happening, I guarantee you. Wesley Sneijder wants to play for United and is happy to take a paycut to do so. He will wear the number 7 shirt. sammy 10/07/2011 6:23am
it is plain to see that after the barcalona game that utd need a midfield overhaul they need wesley sneijder and sami nasri and another defensive midfielder after the departure of hargreaves. man u fan 10/07/2011 6:24am
Dont thnk nani will b a part of the deal ! He is a star player who playd an integral role 4 us last season an is yet to reach his best ! But sneijder will turn out to be the biggest of all signgs ! He is the only midfielder who can be compared to xavi at the moment ! No wonder why fergie was tryin tn generate all those cash frm the player sales ! Thumps up sir !:-D Jamali Mohamed Ali 10/07/2011 6:56am
This whole superstars transfer musical chairs would have to be triggered by United. Only when United get Sneijder, then Inter would have the money to get Tevez. Then Citeh would plug the hole with Aguero. Then Chelsea would be uncontested to get Modric. Spurs can get back Carrick for peanuts, nobody cares. Jon 10/07/2011 7:16am
As others have said I firmly believe sneijder at this point is a much more complete player than nasri.after this years champs lge it was clear we needed a creative spark who can boss a game in midfield and if we get sneijder I feel fergie would have signed a major player who will help us rule europe again £35m is a lot of money so I do hope that he will have an impact like Ronaldo as opposed to the fail of Berbahag. Martin Martin 10/07/2011 8:03am
Waste of money won't cut it in prem, be lucky to get 5/6 years out of him. Spend another 10/15 mill and get javier pastore for £45/55 million at 21 a future superstar. And spend another 20/25 mill on nasri they be perfect for us but wes is to old at 27 we need youth because in 5+ years were gonna be at this road again needing a attacking mid. Joshua 10/07/2011 8:12am
Berba for schweintieger wil b great, sneijder for sure to OT.utd wil b a bomb come nxt season Myles 10/07/2011 8:17am
I wouldn't be shock that Fergie springs a surprise and looks to get both sneijer and nasri, and offload nani, Marc 10/07/2011 8:38am
Man Utd 1st eleven 2011/2012....... Jamie 10/07/2011 8:59am
Hope we get Sneijder,, he is a quality midfielder. And down the years United have been successful with signing Dutch players!!!! Hope Nasri comes as well, but we could do without him for this year if we secure Sneijder, and then Nasri can come on a free next summer!! Ranks 10/07/2011 9:03am
I've heard from a reliable source that Nasri is going to City not United. Would prefer Modric or Sweinstieger myself but don't believe either of them will be sold. Wes is a world class player and exactly what we need, but I think we need another centre midfielder after losing Scholes, Hargreaves, O'Shea (who can play there) and possibly Gibson, as we're a bit short in that position Bren 10/07/2011 9:14am
How about this team anonymous 10/07/2011 9:26am
be interesting what the manager says on transfers whilst on tour, previously they have been open on issues when on tour so it will be interesting what fergie and david gill has to say, hopefully good news as we all know our center midfield is the worst of any of the top clubs as barca exposed it again. james 10/07/2011 9:29am
And when Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba, and possibly Ryan Tunnicliffe, progress into the first team, United are going to have an unbelievable team. Sean 123 Mufc 10/07/2011 10:09am
Talk sport the people were on and they said Sneijder will sign for man united but he has to drop his wages o my god bring it on he willl he will drop his wage ; he is made already he knows that yes ; will we given to the Glazers if he comes ? Andrew Fearn 10/07/2011 10:46am
Sneijder will come there is no doubt about it, the arsenal owner has told wenger to sell nasri for around 22.2 million that will do us and that will give us the power to beat barcelona borba 10/07/2011 10:47am
This has nothing do with this article but I just found out shitty are going to play in california and to make it worse its in San Francisco just 40 min from were I live great a bunch of blue supports I'm going to punch in the face when I see them. One thing is for they cannt miss me with united tatoos on my forearms well ill be spending the night in jail on july 16. Any United supporters willing to bail me out of JAIL on that day? nk 10/07/2011 11:20am

YOU GO TO TO jAIL FOR THAT COME ON DONT DO IT MATE Gurbani 10/07/2011 11:37am
Sneijder, for his age is Gonna be a waste of money.... At most 5 years in the epl and he is gone....on top of dat, where wud he fit in united first team? muremyi moses 10/07/2011 1:17pm
who said rooney is SUCH good a player dat no one shud earn more than he does? besides wes is 1 ov de best players on dis planet, so is it bse rooney is ENGLISH? guys get real he(wes) is not dat class ov player dat deserves a pay cut even at such a moment dat we badly nid an attackin mid. brav if it means rooney quiting i would welcome dat! wes u r welcome! Sean 123 Mufc 10/07/2011 1:43pm
when players hit the 27 mark thats is there pick there at there every best ;we will get five good years of Sneijder to me he is well worth it; Mud Dave 10/07/2011 1:46pm
Go for it bobba punch any city fan u want man that's Wat there here for a good kicking we all love Utd forever Nath 10/07/2011 2:00pm
Very good news let's get it done asap very good player and good playmaker and set-peace taker Mike p 10/07/2011 2:11pm
They would be best gettin sneijder and nasri. Doesnt mean they have to start all the time, and brilliant players to bring in to a massive club! :) David-John Richards 10/07/2011 3:09pm
This would surely be a terrific signing for United and it seems more likely than ever that it will go ahead, it was clear at the UEFA champions final that man utd needed a few good Midfielders and Sneijder would be great and he is much better than Nasri for sure. I believe it will go ahead and I also believe man city will sign nasri and that Berbatov and Nani will remain at Manchester United for another season. neiltheviking 10/07/2011 3:37pm
having read some of the responses I have a couple of points - its common knowledge that SAF has been a sneijder admirer for quite some time, when he moved from Madrid to Milan,United showed interest however sneijder didn't want to compete with scholesy for a midfield slot at that time.sneijder has made no secret of his admiration for MUFC,and the thought of playing at the theatre of dreams following the bernabeau & San Siro is something he describes as a 'beautiful dream'.having coached him at inter,Jose Mourinho is in no doubt & has told his good friend SAF that sneijder & MUFC would be a perfect match.I'm sure that sneijder is SAF's main priority this summer & I fully expect a deal to be thrashed out fairly soon - he's a winner, has vast experience & is now in his prime - expensive, yes - but he'll be a fantastic addition to the squad & a sign of intent as to how SAF wants to create his next, & probably his last great MUFC team. RED FLAG FLYING HIGH 10/07/2011 4:13pm
Its not about what ages he is and the price we pay for him. He's a quality player, if we sign him and he plays a big part in winning trophies for the club. That's wroth any price tag and he's the type of player that could do that and most important a player we need. Ok yes we have to build for the further but the clubs dominating english and european football....well only apart from barca right now. So why stop, buy players of a proven quality and let the younger players we have in the team learn for them. The midfield currently is shocking and it's the only part of the team that needs rebuilt, so get the money pumped into that ! Wobble 10/07/2011 4:40pm
I'd like to think we could get him Sean 123 Mufc 10/07/2011 4:54pm
we will get back all the money in a few years time but united bying putting Sneijder name on the shirts united would make millions so in a few years it would be like if he got him for nothing we make a huge profit cos fans be getting Sneijder on the Shirt more younger people than older people ; Jamie 10/07/2011 5:12pm
The shirts will be great, barca and real buy players for the shirt sales so why carnt we. If nani does go as part of the deal then we should outbid barca for Sanchez, as that deal has hit a snag with barca player not wanting to go to Italy. What u think??? Josh 10/07/2011 5:17pm
How do we no this?? Karl 10/07/2011 6:29pm
Hope the take over speculation is true Nath 777 10/07/2011 6:49pm
Brilliant news hope it get done asap now all we need now is nasri to put some attacking to ower midfield Bill McNeal 10/07/2011 7:45pm
Sneijder would not fit in to our team. It takes a basic understanding of tactics to know this. anonymous 10/07/2011 8:29pm
whats the latest with nasri,is he going to city thats what the mail have been reporting for a few days and just heard an interview on talksport from paddy barclay saying that as well, hope its not true, can someone shed more light to it please. Borba 10/07/2011 9:15pm
@sean123 Those idiots have to know Manchester United gets more support in the U.S.A than the blue half. There going to San Fransico were all torists visit an be fooled that the have support in California. The blue will.have to be put in there place California dosent want them here. We are a Manchester United State Red Army will rise in California. Red Jay 10/07/2011 9:39pm

Adman Legend-11 11/07/2011 12:09am
It's all very simple really, he has to choose between a little more cash to an already rich man, against winning trophies and the chance in a lifetime opportunity of playing under the best manager who ever drew breath. If that bit more money is important to him, let him go somewhere like Chelsea. If he wants the trophies and to play under Sir Alex, he comes here to Manchester. Simple. Sean 123 Mufc 11/07/2011 12:11am
Sneijder will come and Nasri ; Let 11/07/2011 12:27am
Go get him and nasri fergi.we hve to beat barca in the next ucl final.nani has to stay and carrick has to offloaded to everton. G13 11/07/2011 7:12am
Carrick and Fletcher are both hardworking lads. They can chase the ball and do the job of a CDM. Just that they lack the keano mindset to make them legend. I do not agree that carrick should be sold, unless Fergie have another good CDM in place. Sneijder would be an instant welcome by all United Fans!! Hamburgerop 11/07/2011 7:24am
Carrick may suit arsenal with his passing, pls trade him for nasri. Haha. He's more of an Arsenal calibre than of Utd's : p Sean 123 Mufc 11/07/2011 10:34am
