Ganso from Santos would be the perfect replacement. He ticks all the right boxes, great passer, great technique, scores goals and is still very young. In fact his age fits right into Sir Alex's preferred age range so why isn't he our number one target?

Because he'll cost a fortune, is unproven in Europe and most likely doesn't want to leave Santos yet/come to Manchester.

We need to take less of a risk and buy someone who is virtually guaranteed to do the business here. I know you can never say for certain but i'd looking for a player who has played in Europe, in World Cups and is nice and experienced and hitting their peak.

Ie. Sneijder.

Rooney. He has everything scholes has, but faster, stronger and a better tackler. Let pea and kiko play up front. Berba, welbeck and Owen as subs. Anderson to compliment Rooney in the middle of the park.

Wesley but as usually fergie won't spend money or at least make a bit was it not Rooney that said we never sign world stars in my opinion we can not start the new season with the midfield we have if we don't get Wesley I would settle for Parker for now

Definatly wayne rooney, hes playing in the wrong position and should be playing as our playmaker, hes got the fitness and the ability, we have plently of good strikers to replace rooney, hernandez, owen, macheda, berbatov and welbeck

Fact, man utd never ever sign world class players. Unproven at the v top level players with potential yes. Christiano springs to mind or players tht want to sign for united ie Rooney. Ronaldinho bastituta ronaldo the Brazilian del piero or even zidane spring to mind even van der sar came to us at the end of his career but the truly world class players don't want to know. Prob coz we don't pay top dollar which is maybe why we sit on 3 euro cups still.

Cesc is the best choice.At his age,none of the others mentioned was anywhere near his class!! he is better than Xavi(go check stats).he's just unlucky to be at Arsenal,that's all..

Defour isnt really that good after that foot injury.
Gibson is in a tough situation after the failed move to SUnderland, regardless, i doubt he can be consistent enough to be a good replacement for Scholes.
Nasri unfortunately wont come.
Schweinsteiger is a GREAT replacement, but can you think of a star German player that last played in the EPL? (Not Hitzlsperger)
Xabi Alonso will NOT leave Real.
Cleverley has some more to prove.
Sanchez has gone to Barca.
Anderson is inconsistent... unfortunately.
Redknapp will not let VDV leave Tottenham.
and dont get me started on Cesc.

Here's a thought:

Fergie is hands-down the best coach in the world when it comes to recruiting talent.
For example: David Beckham was only around 14 when he first signed to United.
Another example: How old was Cristiano Ronaldo when Fergie signed him? (After Houllier declined to... lol)? 16 YEARS OLD.
And before the 8th of April of 2010... who knew that we had singed one of the best strikers in the world right now? at only 14million euros...

Sneijder cant come cause Inter wont let him... and he juss so happens to love the lifestyle in Milan. take those two reasons out, the 20th trophy would be signed to us instantly.
