Manchester United named as world's most valuable football club
Manchester United prevail as world's most valuable sports club... Again !

Manchester United FC remain the most valuable sports team in the world, Forbes has calculated. The Red Devils won the most popular domestic sports league globally, and finished runners-up in the largest football club competition on the planet last season. The Barclays Premier League Champions and UEFA Champions League Finalists boast nearly 350 Million supporters worldwide, and despite their financial difficulties have stayed at the top...

The facts and figures of the sports rich list ranking relate to how a club preforms without the interference of it's owners, meaning that teams acquired by wealthy buyers do not necessarily make the cut. In United's case - and their debt-ridden American owners (The Glazer Family) - the side attract over 73,000 fans to Old Trafford on average every game filling the stadium to capacity, while The Red's merchandise tops sports sales in numerous countries.

United's marketing outreach attracted £200 Million in sponsorship deals in 2010, with media income higher than any other football club in Europe. The Reds are worth £1.2 Billion according to Forbes' report, with their nearest football competitors being Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, and English rivals Arsenal. The top ten was made-up of six American football (NFL) clubs, three association footie teams, and one baseball outfit.

Forbes' Most Valuable Sports Teams
1. Manchester United FC (PL)
2. Dallas Cowboys (NFL)
3. New York Yankees (MLB)
4. Washington Redskins (NFL)
5. Real Madrid CF (LL)
6. New England Patriots (NFL)
7. Arsenal (PL)
8. New York Giants (NFL)
9. Houston Texans (NFL)
10. New York Jets (NFL)

so the glazers must be doing a good job then?

@ 'malcolm'

Not The Glazers, but the people in marketing working their ass off at Old Trafford, the manager and coaches, the staff and the players. Glazers reap the rewards. Without putting anything into the club, the take it all out. But we'll survive... Qatar or someone similar would make a great difference though.

Sky sports news saying Nasri will be at city by the end of the month. If that's the case why the hell did united not get him. For sum crazy reason we just don't attract the superstars. Not since veron have we got an established superstar. It's well frustrating!! Argghhh

Yet they won't pay good money for a top player!all the money that's cone off the wage bill this summer with retirements, releases sales an so on yet were gonna go into another season with the same central midfielders to choose from minus paul scholes and sheasy if needed to play there!it's getting ridiculous now,we've got enough for the premier league but that holy grail of fergies is finding a remedy to the Minster that is barca!and it's not giggs, park, carrick, ando fletch, and certainly not Gibson!get sneijder in Ffs next to young Phil jones and we may be able to stop em!

Sneijder will join, reports lastnight saying that united are working on a deal with Nike in order to meet sneijders wage demands! Fergie said exactly the same about de gea and look where he ended up! also a report in the Manchester evening news saying united are working around the clock to get the deal done, and they are not usually wrong when it comes to united

What are you on about, David. Ferguson openly admitted that we were in for De Gea. Furthermore, hasn't reading that he agreed personal terms and that the deal was imminent for 2 weeks made you question the accuracy of the medias work. Sneijder said no, Inter said no, we said no.

Looks like their is something seriously up with fletcher. He has`nt trained yet and won`t be fit for the start of the season.United will only have giggs, anderson and carrick fit for central midfield.Thats if gibson also leaves.
United once again fail to strenghten the most important area of the team and hopefully this will also be addressed soon. Also sneijder missed alot of last season through injury so maybe he is also the wrong option.

Ha ha you lot make me laugh! I agree in the fact I dont like the debt around our necks! Hover the glazers have actually increased our commercial revenue. the marketing, finance dept and everyone at OT pulling in one direction. This is not down to 1 person, this is due to the team work and work ethos collectively - all in unison, a unity, united!

The debt is being serviced, fergie has not spent big before because the emergence of Chelsea and city spending - it has blown prices in the transfer windows. Fergie has refused to pay the silly money being knocked around for ordinary players!

In an ideal world we would not have any debt, but we have - we servicing it and we are creating fantastic revenue which keeps our operating costs as safe as houses!

Now shut the fuck up with the negative shite all the time! We are fucking United

@ 'CJ7'

It certainly hasn't gone 'quiet', but it has quietened down. Tabloids say Nike will help with the deal, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Inter Milan are ready to accept a £35 Million offer it's reputed.

Inter Milan has offered €14million euros for Casemiro, Sao Paulo's CM. They've already signed 1 CM Alvarez. Surely looking to replace Sneijder. Looks almost done. What we know is that Inter will announce it as soon as they get the replacements. This is what we are hearing. Another thing we heard on Sneijder is people are reporting he did an lap of honor yesterday in training to all his fans like it was the last goodbye.

My scholes testimonial tickets have just arrived well chuffed !!!! How much would another club have had to pay for our Paul scholes when he was 27 ?? I say he would have cost at least 35 mil !!! So in order to replace him we should spend in excess of 35 mil !!!

Something is happening, I can feel it.

Inter must want to get their players signed before they sell us Sneijder, otherwise the selling clubs will know that Inter have £30-£40m in their pockets and will be able to demand more money from them.
