The United Nations (UN) has declared a famine in parts of Somalia. Millions of people there, and across the Horn Of Africa, continue to face starvation. GOAL has allocated €500,000 from their emergency funds to support the efforts to alleviate the current suffering. A GOAL team is responding to the deteriorating situation in southern and eastern parts of Ethiopia, and is assisting refugees crossing the border from Somalia. GOAL have provided clean water to 140,000 people and food aid to thousands of particularly vulnerable, malnourished refugee women, and children under five years of age, in the Somali region of the country. They are continuing to procure food aid, medicines and hygiene materials for immediate distribution. GOAL's drought response programmes in Ethiopia have been in progress since January 2011. ![]() GOAL requires your help for Africa The programme has been supplying clean water, food aid and nutritional treatment for malnourished children. GOAL are also assisting in the relief operation in Kenya, where they are providing emergency shelter and arranging for the distribution of hygiene kits to hundreds of families at the Dadaab refugee camp in the east of the country. However, the greatest concentration of people in need is in Somalia. GOAL is doing everything in it's power to convince the International community to open and maintain safe humanitarian corridors for the delivery of aid to those desperately in need of assistance. Think we will have a couple if new midfield signings this year. Guys be cool. There's always been signing at utd up until the very last day of the transfer windows. We have loads of time yet. The hard thing to do is wait. But thats all we have to do. SAF knows the business inside out. Respect the man who won't lay down for no one man. If he did that then he wouldn't be the icon in world football he is today. We will Angry Red 25/07/2011 8:01pm

Inconsiderate rascals! Can't you take a moment and think about the millions that are facing starvation? Or is who Man United signs more important? Or is that your just too ignorant to know where the Horn of Africa and Somalia is? This is about the pple who are suffering with the famine not about any transfers!!! Ste 25/07/2011 9:05pm
Exactly, we won't get him. He's too expensive. Let's look around the bargain bins instead. Disappointed Red 25/07/2011 9:18pm
Don't worry Ste, we already are. Joey Barton FFS. red devil dxb 25/07/2011 9:24pm
guys please give up on this, we are not going to sign him, with the same money united could buy 2 young players hoping for one of them to do some magic, so, PLEASE STOP GIVING FALSE HOPE, IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN Fhrtuiych 25/07/2011 10:51pm
I know it sound crazy but what if every club donates 1million for these poor people , it the least they could do after spending 10m for just a shitty player, this money would make a difference in the world. Ashjay32 26/07/2011 12:15am
I do agree, there won't b anymore signings. Tom 26/07/2011 4:25pm
We don't know what's going on behind closed doors, we all want sneider but he hasn't done a tevez and said he wants to leave his club also there's about 9 agents who want there own slice of the pie if he is coming so its taking forever, and let's face it agents are money grabbing pricks! Rohan 26/07/2011 5:53pm
Donate food and clothing. But no money. Coz they will kidnap seafarers buying more weapons and ammunition. red devil dxb 26/07/2011 7:25pm
@TOM David 26/07/2011 8:07pm

David gill has said they are looking at bringing in one more player , that nothing is happening right now but there is still time, he also said if they can't get the player they want then there's no point buying for the sake of it so watch this space...... Chopper 26/07/2011 8:36pm
Gill just said on skysports 1more signing Tom 26/07/2011 9:07pm
