The Red Devils aren't messing about this summer in the transfer market, with nearly £60 Million of talent purchased over the last month. And according to a host of trusted news sources, United have turned their attentions on highly-rated 24-year-old Arsenal and France midfielder, Samir Nasri... The Premier League Champions are hopeful of tempting Arsenal into a £20 Million plus sale of contract rebel Samir Nasri. The attacking mid has refused to put pen-to-paper on a new deal with The Gunners, which has brought Nasri to the attention of The Reds, along with Manchester City - who are also credited with interest in the French playmaker - but the most recent stories state that staff at the Eastlands club do not believe they will sign Nasri. United are badly in need of a creative midfielder following the loss of Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves, and Sir Alex Ferguson has long been an apparent onlooker of Inter Milan superstar Wesley Sneijder. But Nasri is said to be top on the shopping list at Old Trafford, and the French International is in return keen on a move to the world's biggest stage, after publicly declaring the possibility of a move to the club earlier in June. Nasri has scored 27 goals and assisted 15 more in his 124 games for Arsenal. The Emirates man has just one year remaining on a contract that has seen him win three PFA Fan's Player Of The Month awards since 2010, and rack-up a place on the PFA Team Of The Year for the season gone by. The former Marseille man has also made 22 appearances for France, scoring 2 goals and setting-up 3 scores. Bienvenue, Samir ? CommentsTom 01/07/2011 12:37am

Can't wait for the final confirmation of the deal, thumbs up Sir Alex. Joe T 01/07/2011 1:34am
I honestly dont know whether the quatari family is funding the transfers or when this is the money made off ronaldo, i guess we will know if we go over the 80mil mark :) MUFC FOR LIFE!!! Jasim 01/07/2011 2:34am
I really wish to see him at Old Trafford :) Iss 01/07/2011 3:11am
I think he can be a reliable sub ahead of obartan. Will he be hungry enough . 01/07/2011 3:33am
I hate to say it but I think shitty might beat us to him :/ Face 01/07/2011 4:51am
There's sources that said he's goin to man city....another said he's goin to UTD.... topo 01/07/2011 5:42am
If Wenger sell Fabregas to Barca, there is no point for nasri to stay. How do you compete when you sell your biggest star to Barca and expect player like nasri to stay. Wenger is ruining Arsenal FC and I think he is strong enough to jump ship to Man Utd. Come on nasri, come and join Utd! Anand 01/07/2011 5:58am
But SSN reported yesterday that it was Man City going for him 01/07/2011 6:24am
If Samir Nasir shouldmove to Manchester United it will be a gud signing of the summer transfer as the team want to create a unique squard. Good Luck to Sir Alex, Man utd and all the fans of Man utd G13 01/07/2011 6:45am
Doesn't make sense to join Utd if I were Nasri. I think he is just making use of Utd to get a wage increase. With Fab gone, he would be the next commanding presence. So why would he leave? Furthermore Nasri is not a complete as of yet.. Nevertheless if he were to come to Utd. We'll welcome him! Nothing but ManUtd! mr endowed 01/07/2011 8:30am
this article doesnt talk about it's headline at all.nothing in it shows Utd are confident of luring him cos they are just giving us stats9which is useless)...heard Shitty are favourites cos of the huge wage appeal.will be damn if we lose him to those noisy neighbours.evra has gotta help us!!!!!!! mate thid dtory is yesterday now city have entred the race Fakkeroni 01/07/2011 10:07am
IMO 20 mil is WAY TOO MUCH for a player that has just one year remaining on his contract. We should give Cleverley & Ando the chance to dictate the attack. Fakkeroni 01/07/2011 10:09am

Hope to see some other good signing..... Why cant we chase anoda players dat have good quality..... Kas 01/07/2011 4:15pm
If we get jauo moutinho or diarra- & nasri in, we would wrap up the 20th title no problem and would compete with barca without a problem in the champs league due to pure quality in the middle of our team. Pachal 01/07/2011 5:03pm
Looking forward to Nasir signing, hope this deal can be sealed within next few days!. G13 01/07/2011 5:23pm
No way. O Shea is one player which you want to keep. He can slot in any position in def role to def mid. crucial when we face injuries. With the youngsters we have, o Shea is good for training em as well! l33bo 01/07/2011 5:39pm
arsenal wont sell unless it's a good deal I'd say 20m plus oshea. nasri is perfect creative midfielder he's premiership proven Migsy 01/07/2011 5:53pm

15 assists in 124 games?? That's a poor return, Nani set that many up last season alone l33bo 02/07/2011 1:09pm
hes premier league proven we could buy sneijder and him turn out to b another veron Joe T 02/07/2011 11:38pm
Joey barton? Fergie wouldnt wanna bring him to united, he's too much trouble. Personally i agree with the diarra comment plus he wud be quite cheap. Im starting to get worried because i havnt heard any news about berbatov going. I really dont think he suits our style and cud offer him as a make-weight for modric. l33bo 03/07/2011 11:02am
yes he is a trouble causer but might be worth a go for 1m carlos 04/07/2011 1:24am
