Manchester United have been ranked the richest football club in the world for the 7th year running. The recent
Forbes ratings see The Red Devils valued at a massive £1.13 (€1.28 / $1.86) Billion, despite major issues that owners The Glazer Family have with debt burdening. However, the no.1 standing comes as no surprise, with United boasting a fanbase of approximately 350 million people worldwide - the largest following of any sports team, anywhere.
The Reds' closest rivals in terms of financial power are; Real Madrid, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Spanish giants Madrid are valued at £900 Million, Premier League title challengers Arsenal weight-in at £700 Million, German champions Bayern are worth £650 Million, whilst Catalan blockbusters Barca are only half as rich as United - coming in below £600 Million. Other English sides in the Top 10 include Chelsea and Liverpool.
The London Blues are 7th - worth £400 Million, and The Scousers placed 9th - at less than £350 Million. The sheer strength of United is displayed in it's £1.13 Billion valuation, despite the side being relatively quite in the transfer market. Much of this is down to the club's debt - which currently stands at nearly £600 Million. If The Glazers weren't causing us this stress, we well and truly would be invincible (and filthy rich)...
