Darren Fletcher
Darren Fletcher made a return from illness on Thursday night, as The Red's Reserves claimed the Premier Reserve League title in the North Group A division against Arsenal. Sir Alex Ferguson watched the club's youngsters and fringe players draw 0-0 at Old Trafford, where they were crowned youth champions...

Manchester United Reserves play Liverpool Reserves on May 1st in their last Premier Reserve League game of the season, but whatever the outcome - The Red Devils will lift the North Group A league trophy for a record 5th time. Warren Joyce's men needed just one point out of their remaining two games, which they picked-up against Arsenal Reserves on Thursday night at Old Trafford, brining them to 34 points to fulfil the quota.

Wigan Athletic Reserves finish second for the time being, as Manchester City's 'Elite Development Squad' have the chance to end the season one place behind United if they draw or win their game-in-hand. United will play Blackburn Rovers Reserves - winners of North Group B - in the Semi-Finals of the nationwide Premier Reserve League - which The Reds won last season - a competition which they have won more times than any other Reserve team.

The 0-0 draw with Arsenal at The Theatre Of Dreams was the stage where first team midfielder Darren Fletcher made a 45 minute comeback, following a spell of almost 2 months on the sidelines. The 27-year-old Scottish midfielder had suffered from a virus, but is expected to regain full fitness within the coming weeks. In the game, Fletch made no mistakes and his passing, crossing and tackling was superb - although playing in a second-string side.

United's Reserves had the best chances to win the match, with Oliver Norwood, Gabriel Obertan, Ryan Tunnicliffe and William Keane all coming close, but denied by returning Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen and young goalkeeper James Shea. Meanwhile, United goalie Ben Amos and defensive pair Joe Dudgeon and Oliver Gill all put in solid shifts to secure The Red Devils the one point that they craved...

I don't think he'll even be in contention against Arsenal, he'll still be a long way from match fitness.
