Mame Diouf, Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck
Sir Alex Ferguson has said he intends to recall loanees Tom Cleverley, Danny Welbeck, Mame Diouf and Federico 'Kiko' Macheda. The boss believes that the four will play a major part in the coming seasons for United, starting next campaign. The afore mentioned quadruple are excelling on-loan in the Premier League and Serie A...

Tom Cleverley is currently on-loan with Wigan Athletic, assisting them in their relegation battle at the bottom of the Premier League. The 21-year-old English striker recently netted for The Lactics against Birmingham City, bringing to 4 his goalscoring tally from 17 appearances. Danny Welbeck meanwhile is temporarily with Sunderland, who are in 9th, much of it down to the 20-year-old England striker - who has hit 6 goals in 23 games.

Mame Diouf has been loaned to Blackburn Rovers, 13th, and has had the most opportunities out of the said four youngsters to showcase his talent - the 23-year-old Senegalese striker has played 26 games, bagging 6 goals in return. All the while, Kiko Macheda is enjoying his time in Italy, with Sampdoria, who lie 16th. The 19-year-old Italian striker has scored 1 goal in 13 caps since joining on-loan in January.

As well as banging in the goals for their respective clubs, Welbeck scored for England's U-21 side midweek in their 4-0 victory over Denmark U-21's, while Macheda was on target for Italy's U-21's in their 3-1 win against Sweden U-21's.

"They'll come back into the squad and they will get plenty of games next season," Sir Alex told ManUtd.Com. "They are part of the band of young players coming through at this club. They will all come back in. At that point, we will then review our squad because that's the important thing. But we will always put players out on loan."

"Cleverley has done very well, particularly in his spell at Watford and then at Wigan. He has improved in each case and he is going to be a top player. Welbeck has been fantastic too, it's just unfortunate that he picked up a bad injury. But they will all be ready for next year. Mame Diouf has done well at Blackburn too and he'll come back in."
the boss praised. "They've all done well."

"It proves we were right in putting them there in the first place. For them, it’s that experience of being exposed to regular football that really brings them on so that they are ready to play for Manchester United !"

I would bring back tom and Diouf, and let Danny and Kiko stay and loan an till as least January, that way they will be sure of more playing time.I Think Owen and Scholes will leave in the summer so those two spot could go to Cleverley and Diouf.Welbeck and Macheda well be part of the clubs future.

We will have 7 strikers! Berba, rooney, chica, kiko, welbeck, diouf and owen! Midfield is weak, we need a world class central midfielder. Carrick, ando, fletcher are not good enuff! Fergie shuld try to get de rossi, pastore, pedro or kaka or xavi or iniesta (last 3 seems unlikely), for god sake we hv 150mill to spend! At least don't give us "no value in the market" excuse again!

I'm glad Welbeck and Cleverley are staying but I'm not sure about Macheda and Diouf. I think Macheda got a bit too big for his boots after his winner against Villa, so he hasn't really done well and Diouf looks poor all together

IF I were a betting man I would say that Diouf has no future at a Man Utd player. At no point has he even shown glimpses of being at the required level.

Kiko is a mixed bag. He has a big game mentality and it is worth remembering how young he is. He is somewhat the victim of his own earlier success. The goal against Villa really set expectations way higher than they needed to be. He clearly has natural striking talents and it is hard to judge how good he can be.

Wellbeck has looked really good this season on loan at Sunderland. His first touch is superb. He can also play right across the forward line. I would let him stay on loan for another season to get more playing time. If he does come back then he has to get games. It's the only way he will develop. He is good enough to make it.

Cleverley impresses me the most of all the young players. I very much want to see him come back and play a significant part next season. Integrating these home grown young players into the squad should be a top priority.

It's also worth talking about the two stand out talents in the academy. Pogba and Morrison. At some point we are going to have to see little glimpses of them both in the first team.

I fully expect Hargreaves to move on or retire, Scholes to retire and Gibson to be sold.

In other words there will be no marquee signing in the summer.

Think Tom, Welbeck and Diouf would be the most ready for the first team squad nxt season. Kiko needs a bit more time I think. Hasn't quite come off for him in Serie A yet.

I would let diouf go, give Kiko another season on loan but in premier leauge. I would bring back welbeck cause Owen will go in the summer. I think cleverly could do another season on loan with better team. We need a marquee signing someone who can score from central midfield.

I believe this will be a reason for the Glazers not to purchase any players for the coming season!!! Look at the debts!!!!! Do you think they have the $100 over million to buy players?? This is out in the papers to shut the fans up!!!!!
