John O'Shea Inks 4-Year Deal 26/11/2010
![]() John O'Shea has committed his long-term future to Manchester United, as he put pen to paper on a four-year £16.5 Million contract. The Irish midfielder has made nearly 400 appearances for the club, and has been rewarded by Sir Alex Ferguson for his loyal 12 seasons at Old Trafford... O'Shea has made 375 appearances for United in his 12 seasons at the club, scoring 15 goals. The 29-year-old Republic Of Ireland International has been dubbed as The Red Devi's 'perfect all-rounder', having played and impressed in every position on the field - including goalkeeper. He will hit 30 years of age next April, but will stay at The Theatre Of Dreams until at least January of 2015 after signing a four-year contract with United. His new deal will be announced in the near future - and will be worth £80,000-per-week excluding bonuses. Given that he will see-out his contract, he will bag himself £16.5 Million over the next four years. O'Shea's previous contract lasted until the summer of 2012, but to reward him for his continued loyalty to the club - Sir Alex and David Gill have extended his contract and nearly doubled his wage package. He made his 60th International appearance for Ireland on the 17th of November, and has been one of Giovanni Trapattoni's most consistent performers. Commentsstece 27/11/2010 12:05am
