Hargreaves & Bébé Won't Feature In Europe 04/09/2010
![]() Manchester United have omitted both injured midfielder Owen Hargreaves and new signing Bébé from this season's UEFA Champions League squad. While many doubted Hargo would make it in Europe this season, eyebrows have been raised over Bébé's absence... Owen Hargreaves will remain in America for treatment on his long-standing tendinitis knee problem. The 29-year-old was included in United's Premier League squad earlier on Wednesday. Some believed Hargreaves would then be included in The Red's Champions League squad for this season, but many argued if and when Hargo returned he would not manage both domestic and European football. Meanwhile, new signing Bébé has 'struggled' to impress at United - according to the media. However, the 20-year-old has an abundance of talent, but will have to improve the physical and fitness aspect to his game before he becomes a United first-teamer. The Portuguese U-21 forward made his youth International debut yesterday, as his nation faced England's U-21. Bébé performed with mixed results - some poor play, but some good displays also. Portugal went on to lose the U-21 European Championship Qualifier 1-0. Oliver Gill - David Gill's (United CEO) son and Jonny Evan's brother, Corry Evans have both been included in the Champions League squad, as Sir Alex looks for his third European crown ! Squad: Van Der Sar, Kuszczak, Amos*, Neville, Evra, J. Evans, Ferdinand, W. Brown, Smalling, Vidic, O'Shea, Fabio*, Rafael*, Gill*, Nani, Anderson, Giggs, Park, Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher, Valencia, Gibson, C. Evans*, Berbatov, Rooney, Hernandez, Owen, Obertan, Macheda*. * Player on List B. CommentsBorba 04/09/2010 11:14pm

Its looking like Bebe is a bit of a flop.. or it could just mean that he'll be out till they have to register players for the knockout phase

according to the guardian we have only named a 24 man squad which makes the fact we left bebe out even stranger.

For crying out loud Brian what are you fucking 5, plenty of players wanted join us (vdv, silva, sanchez etc) but didnt for 1 simple season, Sir Alex didnt want them. Your the spitting image of that type of fan that is hated by other fans, why? your an imbecile, we dont buy some1 you want regardless whether he actually the right type of player for the team and you spit out your dummy and have a fit. Go take that protest elsewhere because you clearly have no loyalty to the club or the genius that is Sir Alex

I completely don't know what the hell is united doing! If we wanted to waste 8 mil we could have done so buy signing potentials like Eden Hazard or even Douglas Costa .Why go for an unknown who hasn't even proved himself in first division league of Portugal! I am completely baffled buy such a poor decision by united ! I think they want to make a fool of themselves!
