Bébé: Sir Alex Told Me To Get A Haircut ! 01/09/2010
![]() United's new £7.4 Million signing, Bébé, has admitted boss Sir Alex told him to get his hair cut. The 20-year-old joined United with long dreadlocks - as seen on the left, but when he showed-up for the following press conference - he had lost his snake-like hair... The 20-year-old Portuguese forward became Sir Alex's third signing of the summer, bringing the summer spending total to about £30 Million. Bébé joined from Portuguese Liga side Vitoria De Guimaraes, along with his dreadlocks. During a brief encounter with the media - on International duty with Portugal's U-21 side - Bébé said: "I am working hard, everyone has helped me a lot, I have adapted well, given the short time I have been there. The older ones help me a lot." Asked whether his new boss made him take a scissors to his head, he replied: "Did Ferguson make me cut my hair ? - More or less !" CommentsJohnny 01/09/2010 9:14pm
"bringing the summer spending total to about £30 Million" - it is nowhere near 30, 23 at best (Hernandez: 7, Smalling: 10 and you do the math)

Every paper/website said that Chicharito was 7 and not 12 million pounds (10 million euros), and they also mentioned a figure in a region between 7 and 10 million pounds for Smalling. Anyways, it doesn't matter, 'cos the new way of 'telling' us the real figures is like tagging every transfer with the 'undisclosed fee' title since the summer of 2007 when we bought Nani, Ando and Hargo for a combined fee of 56 million pounds (17+22+18 million).

Guys no offence, but I am confident my figures are 100% correct. Anyway, we have signed 3 new players and thats all that matters. 3 very talented youngsters...

I must say that I have to agree with the other guys. The figures that RedDevil mentions seem to be more like the press has been telling us about. Most of these deals probably have extra terms saying the fee can rise to x amount given certain criteria are met and etc.
