Welbeck Joins Sunderland On-Loan 12/08/2010
![]() United striker Danny Welbeck has joined Sunderland on a season-long loan. Welbeck has impressed whilst on-tour with The Reds, but with eight strikers now on the books - the 19-year-old was always set to move out for the season. Steve Bruce getting exactly what he wanted... In his two seasons at Old Trafford, Welbeck has played 24 games, with a return of 5 goals. Welbeck has helped United to two titles - The Carling Cup a few seasons past, and the FIFA World Club Cup in 2008. Danny has received quite a lot of praise from Sir Alex and coaching staff alike. Welbeck has started in 5 England U-21 matches, and has scored 2 goals for the U-19's in his 10 caps. The youngster spend last season on-loan at Preston North End - where both Joshua King and Matty James are currently enjoying spells. The respective forward and midfielder both netted on their debut for Darren Ferguson's (Sir Alex's son) side on Wednesday night. Welbeck passed a medical at The Stadium Of Light on Thursday morning, with personal terms already being agreed. The England starlet joins former Red Devil, Fraizer Campbell at the club. Personal terms agreed? For a loan deal? What was he demanding I wonder... "I want the number 10 shirt and the best parking space outside the stadium or it's no deal"

@Fredster dude, when the articles said personal terms agreed, doesn't mean that the player is greed or something.. Every player is a pro, so of course they have their own personal terms regarding their career. Wellbeck is a great lad, and i believe he will be a great weapon for United and Fergie someday!
