Vidic played a full, solid 90 minutes in Dublin on Wednesday evening, as United hit seven past an Airtricity League XI - who replied with a single goal. Speaking after the game, the Serbian International said: "I don't know why people think it was a difficult decision,"

"I always said I am happy here (at Manchester United). I never spoke about my future. I know there was all this speculation but I never said I wanted to go. There was nothing new. I am very happy to be here."

Vidic is on-course to regaining full fitness ahead of the new season, after a string of injuries kept him out of a host of games last season...

I suspected all along these rumours were just his agent trying to get him an improved contract.

Of course all the little ABU shitheads were salivating at the thought of Madrid stealing Vidic, Rooney, Evra and God knows who else. That's why the gutter tabloids love to print these baseless stories. I can't tell you how many comments I've heard from bitter blues about "when Madrid sign Evra" and "when Madrid sign Rooney". It's all pure fantasy from pathetic little dickheads who get giddy at the thought of United's demise.

it could be. but i think united will still be his nunmber one choice. i think the premier league is more his style. in the two weaks it all be shorted one way are another way. bermne play in the champions league play offs in two weaks. something has to be done by then

It's looking bleak at the minute guys.

Ferguson looked absolutely miserable at the press conference. He was scathing about the quality of the World Cup - fair enough, but then he said that there hadn't been a good World Cup since 1986! Whatever you say, Fergie. Personally I enjoyed 1994, 1998 and 2006 very much.

Interestingly, he claimed the only decent team at the WC was Spain - so obviously he didn't watch any Germany games, huh? Doesn't bode well for the Ozil transfer.

I've all but given up on this one, fellas.

Lads, lads. Ozil is on every single post that hasn't got anything to do with Ozil, on the ones with Ozil as the main topic too.

Anyway, it's okay. I watched a few of Werder's games last season and Ozil IS one of their best players. Great touches, awareness, passing, crossing and fair at finishing. However, he is sometimes inconsistent and picks up injuries regularly. Not to say that this will happen under the control of Carrington and United's amazing coaching and medical staff.

Anyway - I think we should buy Ozil. Barca will soon be interested I am sure after Cesc's statement. Now that Carrick is injured, we may well go after him q
