United Hand Trial To Keeper Lukas Hradecky 02/08/2010
![]() Manchester United have taken 20-year-old Finnish goalkeeper, Lukas Hradecky, on-trial. The Esbjerg FB keeper is to spend the week at Carrington, in an effort to try to impress coaches - most notably Sir Alex. The Reds' have been in the market for some time now, and Hradecky could be the cheap option... The 6ft 2in goalie has impressed in the Danish Superliga for his club Esbjerg FB - despite only making 5 starts. Hradecky, of Slovak origin, has played at International level with Finland since he was 16 years of age - playing for Finnish U-19, U-20 and U-21 sides. Hradecky made his first senior appearance in the second-half of a draw with Estonia in May, where he kept a clean sheet. The tall 20-year-old could potentially replace Ben Foster, who completed a move to Birmingham City earlier this summer. "It is not an option you get very often, so I will just do as well as possible. I’m thrilled to get such a chance." he said. Commentsbruce thomas 02/08/2010 11:45pm

Mark my words, this guy is the real deal. Edwin, you might as well retire now because once Fergie gets a look at Lukas up close there's only going to be one choice for the #1 jersey for the forseeable future.

Put it this way: I'd compare him to a mix between Schmeichel, Van der Sar, Lev Yashin, Sepp Maier and Dino Zoff - but better.
