Sneijder: Mourinho Wants To Succeed Sir Alex 29/08/2010
![]() Inter Milan ace Wesley Sneijder has revealed José Mourinho's dream is to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager. Mourinho was widely hated by Reds in his time as Chelsea boss, but after managing Inter Milan and Real Madrid - is he the perfect match for Old Trafford ? When Mourinho took over from Manuel Pellegrini at the Santiago Bernabeu, it was reported that despite signing a four-year-deal, he had a written agreement that he could leave at any time to manage United. As far fetched as it may sound, 'The Special One' never denied it. Recently Mourinho hinted at a return to English football, possibly Chelsea or United. However, critics argue that Roman Abramovich is so full of it that he won't re-hire the only gaffer who has had consistent success with his 'team'. Sneijder - a United transfer target - said that Mourinho, who coached him at Inter, will one day take over the reigns from Sir Alex. "I know the job he would want is to be Manchester United manager." "To be honest, he is probably the only coach in the world who is capable of taking over from Sir Alex Ferguson. When Ferguson retires, in my mind, it’s a deal already done in people’s heads. One world-class manager leaves and another one takes over. " explained the UEFA Midfielder Of The Year. "I know Sir Alex Ferguson will have a big say in who takes over from him - and, even though they have their differences, there is a big mutual respect." Sneijder added: "I became very close with José during his time at Inter and he told me no football does it for him like English football. I know it’s not a matter of if he goes back to the Premier League but when." "I know how excited he is to get back to the Premier League. When he talked about it, he was like a little kid. He was so excited. It really turns him on..." Is it no way José, or should we give the fella a chance ? Commentsbrian 29/08/2010 10:55am

I'd love him. He'd make Rooney unstoppable and would probably bring Sneijder with him, along with another 2 signings or so.
