![]() Boss Sir Alex has flown to Lisbon, Portugal in support of former right-hand-man Carlos Queiroz. Ferguson testified in court as a character reference, after Queiroz was summoned to a Portugal Football Federation hearing over allegations of misconduct during the World Cup... Sir Alex flew to Lisbon after he was called upon by Queiroz. The gaffer backed the Portuguese manager, who had been his assistant at Manchester United for over five years during two different spells at Old Trafford. Queiroz was disputing claims he was disrespectful, aggressive and insulting towards an anti-doping team before the kick-off of the World Cup in South Africa. The Portuguese Football Federation have temporarily suspended the 57-year-old, and could sack the 57-year-old if he is found guilty. "He's a fantastic coach and teacher, and his main purpose in life is to develop young people, to inspire them and to make sure they turn out good human beings, so that's the reason I'm here to support him.
