Anderson 'Lucky To Survive' Car Crash ! 01/08/2010
![]() Manchester United midfielder Oliveira Anderson has been involved in a one-car collision in Portugal. An investigation is under-way after Anderson was pulled unconscious from the burning wreckage of his car. The crash happened in Braga, after Anderson had been partying at a nightclub... Anderson, 22, was partying at the 'Sardinha Biba' nightclub in Geres, Braga. He left the nightclub with a Brazilian woman and his friend 'Victor' in the early hours of the morning. It is still unclear whether Anderson was driving, but the Brazil International emerged injured, along with his two acquaintances. Anderson's car, the two-seater Audi R8 pictured above, was the soul car involved in the smash. The car left a rural Portuguese road and crashed straight-through a farmyard wall and travelled 100 meters in the air, before coming to a halt in a field. The crash happened at 7am on Saturday morning, Portuguese time. Anderson was dragged 'lifeless' from the £125,000 supercar moments before it burst into a fireball. The three occupants were then taken to a local hospital, St. Mark's, before being discharged several hours later. The three received minor injuries, including concussion, whiplash and shock. The woman was taken for surgery, but is thought to be recovering. 'Gestifute' - the agency which represents Anderson, said the former Porto playmaker had suffered an 'almighty scare', but would fly back to United's training ground, Carrington, to continue rehabilitation after rupturing a cruciate ligament in his left knee back in February - which kept him out of the World Cup. Portuguese Police are investigating whether the car's driver was under-the-influence of alcohol, and could be charged with having 'excess passengers' regardless. Sir Alex Ferguson or the club would not speak to us about the incident. The crash happens one and a half years after former United winger Cristiano Ronaldo totalled his £200,000 Ferrari 599 GTB in a tunnel under Manchester Airport... Thanks for the pic mate. But it actually does look as if it went on fire. The Guardian are quoted as saying it exploded - lucky to survive !

this accident will bring him to lose his position in United squad, and for the rest of his football career, bring Ozil then for our new number 8
