![]() Injured England captain Rio Ferdinand is still six weeks away from full fitness, boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed. The 31-year-old will miss the start of the season, along with Michael Owen, Anderson and Owen Hargreaves. But our problems aren't as bad as Chelski's... The gaffer confirmed that club captain Gary Neville and winger Antonio Valencia were back in training in Carrington. Fitness coach Tony Strudwick has returned from the tour of North America to work with players returning from holidays after South Africa 2010. "Rio should be six weeks maybe," said Sir Alex. "It’s a knee ligament injury and you’ve got to be careful about that. Michael Owen is doing some terrific work, but is a bit behind Gary Neville and Antonio Valencia and I don’t think he’ll be ready for the start of the season." “Anderson will be back in late September as planned, while Owen Hargreaves will stay in America until he’s ready to come back,” added Ferguson.
