![]() Manchester City fans have again disgraced themselves, after attacking a United starlet's brother. 28-year-old Abdul Biram Diouf, older brother of Mame Biram Diouf, was attacked by a mob of City fans on his way out of Eastlands on Saturday, where Paul Scholes had won the game for The Reds with a late header... Abdul was wearing his younger brother's Carling Cup Final shirt, with the name Diouf, no. 32 on the back - 32 being the number Carlos Tevez once wore in his time at Old Trafford, it is believed that this proved the mindless attack. Abdul was on a visit from Dakar to spend time with his brother in Manchester, he attended the Derby game at City - where Scholsey's late, late header in the 93rd minute won the game for The Reds to keep the faint Title hopes very much alive. While the Senegalese man was leaving the ground, a mob of City fans attacked him, punching and kicking him - throwing him into a ditch, he remained conscious and was not seriously injured. Diouf's agent, Jim Solbakken said: "There was an incident after the match. He (Abdul Diouf) was attacked from behind by some Manchester City supporters as he was walking away from the ground. Fortunately there was no need for medical treatment and he got away without any serious injuries." The attackers were claimed by eye-witnesses to have shouted 'Munich' many times over - in reference to the horrific Munich Air Disaster in Germany, 1958 - where 23 souls were taken, 8 of the deceased were United players, under Sir Matt Busby. During the game, inflatable aeroplanes were fired across the stands towards United fans - again in reference to the Air Crash. Diouf, 22, a Senegal international, was signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from Molde last summer, after impressing scouts. He was then loaned back to the Norwegian club for the rest of the Tippeligaen season. When he returned to The Reds in January he earned five first-team starts, scoring in his home-debut against Burnley. He was in the stands on Saturday because of an injury. Diouf has reportedly contacted his family back home in Dakar, and his younger 19-year-old brother, Mame Mbar Diouf in Norway, who also plays with Molde - on-loan at Sarpsborg 08. During the day their were 20 arrests made by Greater Manchester Police, however GMP were fiercely criticised by fan organisations for letting both sets of supporters out at the same time !
