Rooney has scored 33 goals this season, and is United's, if not the World's, best player. But most footie followers wouldn't go as far as saying Roo 'carries' Sir Alex's side, as players from all angles on the pitch are scoring, such as Antonio Valencia, Darren Fletcher and Luis Nani.

But French winger Ribery believes Roo is not a team-player ! - "Rooney is carrying the United team this season. We must pay great attention to him. He's having a tremendous season and I am happy for him. He's a player I like a lot."

"He's hungry. He gives everything for his team. He will tackle, he defends, he attacks, he scores goals. He's full of confidence." He added: "The whole world sees us losing but I think we have a great chance. We have a team good enough to believe in."
