Luis Nani is set to play against Arsenal on Sunday, after he had a 'heart-to-heart' discussion with gaffer Sir Alex - which led him to improve his performances. Recently he impressed against Man City & Hull.  

His sudden turn-around meant he is now been considered as a first team starter, rather than leaving the the club - which was expected to happen this January.

And the Portuguese winger has thanked Sir Alex for his improved performances...

"Week by week the coach has shown more and more confidence in me and that has really helped," said Nani. "United is not a very easy place to recover your place in the first team because there is such a big squad and I had problems at the start of this season."

"But Sir Alex was very clear with me - he spoke at length about what he expected and was always very positive. He changed my mentality and improved my morale over the past few months and now I think I am getting as much satisfaction from my performances as I ever had."

However, Nani insisted that fans expectations of him replacing Cristiano Ronaldo, are not realistic.

"As I've said before, I am Nani and not Cristiano Ronaldo. I don't want comparisons because our style of play is different."

And he was also quick to pledge his future at Old Trafford, "My future is at Manchester United. I've heard all the rumours, but my mission is to stay and help the club win more titles."
