Recent reports have suggested Luis Nani isn't a happy camper at Old Trafford, but if today's comments are anything to go by - the winger is 'living the dream'. Nani has had his ups and downs recently, but the 23-year-old has become a first team regular and hopes to retain that status this season...

Nani missed the 2010 World Cup through a shoulder injury picked-up in preparation training with Portugal. The winger revealed he was 'devastated' with his injury, but remained intent on proving his worth at Old Trafford.

Reports over the summer indicated that Nani and Sir Alex had fallen-out, but those claims have proven to be the usual rubbish, as the Portugal International remained at the club. Nani was blamed for United's draw with Fulham, after missing a late penalty, before The Cottagers bounced-back.

However, Nani netted as The Reds put three goals past West Ham United two weeks ago. Speaking to Inside United, the starlet spoke of his love for the club... "The life here is very nice, but the best things for me are being able to play football every day for such a great club and having the opportunity to win trophies each season."

"I’ve learnt a lot in my time here - I'm older, more experienced and I have more confidence. It's my fourth season at the club and it feels like this is home now. I came with my friend and we did the tour of the museum and the stadium. I remember sitting in the first-team dressing room and both of us saying 'wow, this is Ronaldo’s place' and 'this is where Rooney and Giggs sit !' "

Left-back Patrice Evra has lost an appeal against a five-match ban he received from the French Football Federation for his part in a mass fall-out between players and management during South Africa 2010. Evra was handed a harsh suspension, and today his appeal has failed... 

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka verbally abused former French manager Raymond Domenech in a dressing room during a World Cup Group Stage game in South Africa during the summer. Anelka refused to apologise, and was kicked-out of the camp by The FFF.

Players were livid with upper management for their failure to consult the squad or captain Patrice Evra on the decision to send the 'Le Sulk' home. Evra led a rebellion against The FFF, and refused to train until the issue was resolved. Eventually, the squad returned, as they would have been disqualified by FIFA if they failed to for a second day.

France left the World stage without a single win, with the French public extremely unhappy with the results. The FFF then set-up a hearing in which they banned Anelka for 18 games, Evra out for 5, Franck Ribery sidelined for 3 and Jeremy Toulan suspended for 1.

Evra has already sat-out two of his five games, and will be a big loss to new gaffer Laurent Blanc - the former United defender. But hey, what's it to us ?

Wayne Rooney answered his footballing critics on Tuesday night, as he scored for England against Switzerland in Basel. The 24-year-old is mid-way through a scandal that is rumoured to be affecting his marriage, but as he showed in the European Qualifiers - it's not affecting his football ! 

European U-21 Championship Qualifiers 

Bébé and Owen Hargreaves were both left-out of United's Champions League Squad during the weekend, however the club insisted that Bébé would be part of the squad - putting the apparent omission down to a technical fault. The 20-year-old forward has today spoke about his inclusion...

The Portuguese giant scored for his national U-21 side this evening, against a Macedonia - who Portugal trounced 3-1 in the end. The shock £7.4 Million signing today told the press: "I'm surprised by my inclusion in the Champions League squad..."

"It's a dream for me. I never thought I would have made it, but now I am a very happy man." said Bébé. "I only hope that my confidence returns when I start playing some games and scoring goals, like I know how. At the moment I am working very hard each day in training. I intend to make the most of my chance and hopefully profit from the opportunity given to me."

Manchester City midfielder James Milner has been grilled by media reporters at England's press conference about Wayne Rooney's alleged affair. The former Aston Villa man refused to speak about the team's mentality on the situation or Rooney's state of mind on the matter...

This morning two Sunday tabloids - The Sunday Mirror and News Of The World claimed exclusives on an alleged affair between Wayne Rooney and a prostitute. 21-year-old Jennifer Thompson said Rooney had cheated on wife Coleen while she was pregnant with their baby boy, Kai.

We understand the attention-seeker received over £400,000 for her story, which is widely believed to have been fabricated in an attempt to earn easy money. In one part of her interview, she claims Wayne muttered 'f*cking w*nker' when former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo walked past them in a Mancunian bar.

The prostitute claims she had the affair when Coleen was pregnant - which was last winter, however Cristiano Ronaldo had left Manchester United months earlier. There is also conflicting interviews in both tabloids, despite the interviews coming from the same woman.

Rooney, his representatives or the club have failed to make light of the reports thus far. Sources close to The FA said they expect Rooney to travel home on compassionate grounds, after talks with Fabio Capello - who faces a tough test against Switzerland in Basel for the European Championship Qualifiers on Tuesday. James Milner was then asked about the situation this lunchtime in Watford, as he spoke on behalf of the squad.

"He (Wayne Rooney) did the full session, we are back to football which is what we are here to do. I think he is one of the best players on the field as he showed the other night, he is a top-top player and we want to put out the best team possible." Milner told the press.

"He is a top-player, he showed that on Friday and he trained fully today, you will have to ask him any other questions. We have got to make sure things don't (effect the squad), things are always said in the papers, good things, bad things, that is part and parcel of football and we have to make sure the only things that matter happens on the pitch." he explained.

"We are here to win a football match, we had a good result on Friday and we want a good result Tuesday. You're going to have to ask him the other questions..."

Striker Wayne Rooney could be facing a long spell on the sidelines with both England and more importantly United after tabloid allegations made about his private life. Fabio Capello and Sir Alex could take serious action against the 24-year-old if the claims are proven true...

According to The Sunday Mirror and News Of The World, Wayne Rooney cheated on his childhood sweetheart, Coleen, who he married in the summer of 2008. Their source is a prostitute who claims Rooney had an affair with her for a number of months, starting last October.

Jennifer Thompson alleges to have received £1,200 per night for here services, while her friends say the same. However, United Latest understands there is a glitch in her story... she claims that she met with Rooney at a bar once, where the squad was relaxing. She says Wayne muttered 'F*cking W*nker' as Cristiano Ronaldo walked by.

Now I'm pretty sure Cristiano wasn't strolling around a Manchester pub last winter. Unless the affair had gone on for a year before, she would never have seen Ronaldo anywhere near the United team.

We have also learned that Jennifer Thompson was paid over £400,000 in total by the two tabloid papers for her story, interview and photo-shoot. I still believe there is no truth in her claims, as no hard evidence has come to light.

At least with Tiger Woods and John Terry's affair stories, there were pictures, while with Ashely Cole and Peter Crouch, there was consequences. Many reports have indicated that Fabio Capello will not play Rooney against Switzerland on Tuesday night, while Sir Alex may severely punish the striker for his actions - which he 100% should if the story is true.

Meanwhile, Rooney's marriage is said to be 'on the rocks' with the revelations. And by the way, our next Premier League game is away to Roo's boyhood club Everton. He'll get some hell of a reception there if he plays !
